Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Brickline Oceanside Concrete and Masonry website and any estimate or work you ask us for through it. By using the site, calling us or sending the form, you agree to them, so please read them before you book anything.

When we do a job for you, the written estimate or agreement you sign for that job also applies. If that document and this page ever disagree, the signed document for your job wins, because it's written for your house and your work.

What we do

Brickline Oceanside Concrete and Masonry is a masonry contractor in Oceanside, CA. We work on brick, block, stone, pavers, concrete, chimneys, fireplaces and retaining walls in Oceanside and the cities around it. You can see what we do on the home page and read more about our crew on the About page.

The service descriptions on this site are general. They explain how this kind of work usually goes, and they don't promise a particular method, material or result for your job. What we'll actually do at your house is set out in your written estimate once we've seen it.

Estimates and pricing

Our estimates are free, done in person and obligation-free, so you can get one and decide not to go ahead. We need to see the job, because things like access, the condition of the existing masonry, soil, drainage and the materials you pick all change the price.

An estimate covers the work it describes, at the prices it lists, for the time it states. Some problems only show up once a wall is opened or old material comes out. If that happens, we'll stop, show you what we found and agree any change to the scope or price with you in writing before we carry on.

Nothing on this website is a price quote. Only a written estimate from us sets a price for your job.

Scheduling and cancellation

Once you approve an estimate, we'll agree a start date with you. Dates can move because of weather, material delivery, inspections or something we find on site, and when that happens we'll tell you as soon as we know and set a new date with you.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us at (760) 385-7783 as early as you can. Any cancellation terms for your job, including any cost for materials already ordered or work already done, are in your written agreement, along with any cancellation rights California law gives you.

You'll need to give our crew safe access to the work area on the days we're scheduled, and keep kids, pets and vehicles clear of it. If we can't get in or the site isn't ready, we may have to reschedule.

Payment

Your written agreement sets out how much is due, when it's due and the ways you can pay. If a deposit or progress payments apply to your job, they'll be listed there and nowhere else.

Please pay by the dates in your agreement. If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's settled, and we may use the remedies California law allows to collect what's owed.

Warranties and what we don't promise

We stand behind our work and want you satisfied with every job. Any warranty on your job, including what it covers and for how long, is the one written in your agreement. Materials such as pavers, block, stone or fireplace units may also carry their own warranty from the maker, which we'll pass on to you.

Apart from what's written in your agreement, we don't make other promises about the work, and to the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties. A warranty usually won't cover damage from settling or movement of the ground, water and drainage problems we didn't work on, misuse, other people's later changes, or normal wear and weathering.

This website is provided as it is. We try to keep it accurate, but we don't promise that every page is complete, current or free of errors.

Limits on our liability

We're licensed and insured, and we take responsibility for the work we do. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost use of your property or lost income, and our total liability for a job is limited to what you paid us for that job.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that California law doesn't allow us to limit.

Sorting out disagreements

If something about our work bothers you, tell us first, because most problems get fixed fastest when we can come back out and look. Call (760) 385-7783 or use the contact page, and we'll reply within 1 business day.

If we can't settle it between us, we'll both try mediation in good faith before going to court. Either of us can still use small claims court for a dispute that qualifies.

These terms and any work we do are governed by California law. Any court case will be brought in San Diego County, California, unless the law says otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page is the one that applies. Changes won't alter a written agreement you've already signed with us unless we both agree to it in writing.
